Horseback Riding Lessons & Showing
Hunter/Jumper & Equitation Lessons
We produce top quality riders and horsemen. By teaching correct skills in a safe, fun and professional environment. Quality instruction is available year round for beginner riders just starting out, intermediate riders looking to advance their skills, and for those more advanced riders wishing to polish their competitive hunter/jumper performance in the show ring.
We are dedicated to helping our students meet their individual goals, whether they involve riding for pleasure, competition, or starting a new green prospect. Private, semi-private, and group riding and horsemanship lessons are offered to children and adults on Tuesdays through Sundays from 12PM to 7PM.
For the well-being and longevity of our horses we have a 175 lb. weight limit.
Ship in lessons are welcome, subject to providing current copies of Negative Coggins and vaccination record. Full use of outdoor/indoor arenas, lounge, trails and wash areas are available, but there is no stable access for ship in horses. We also ask that visitors clean up after themselves and horses before leaving.
Horsemanship & Riding Lessons
Ages 7+ Rate: $70 ea. ($65 if purchasing monthly)
We require all new students to take Horsemanship & Riding Lessons until they are competent at grooming, tacking and general safety procedures at Liberty Hill. This gives us the opportunity to teach students to properly care for our horses and equipment. Students with no prior experience can expect to take between 5-10 consistent lessons to master these skills, while younger riders will stay in supervised lessons until approximately age 10. Beginners take private lessons until skilled enough to join a semi private (2 riders) or group (3 riders) lesson.
Private (30 minute) and Semi-Private (45 minute) Hunt Seat Lessons
Ages: 10+ Rate: $60 ea. ($55 if purchasing monthly)
Riders can expect to develop a strong foundation in flatwork and jumping. More advanced riders will learn course work and show ring savvy. Riders must be capable of properly grooming, tacking up and putting away horse and all equipment.

Working Students
Occasionally certain students show the desire to learn the finer details of horsemanship and riding at a higher level. Students that take initiative are recognized and invited (as openings occur) to join our working student program. The benefits include extra riding, discounted show fees, and free lessons. Students must be willing to commit to at least two days each week, and must have strong horsemanship and communication skills. Working Student hours are given a $5 value per, which can be applied to offset various expenses. Interested students should approach or email Kelly about this opportunity.
Horse Showing with Liberty Hill
Liberty Hill riders, horses and ponies travel to rated local shows about once a month from March to November. Showing on the A-circuit in New England, New York, Virginia and Florida is available by request. The experienced and talented Liberty Hill horses and ponies may be leased by the season or the day to participate in competition. We promote fun, good sportsmanship, and always take home our share of ribbons. Liberty Hill riders have a high rate of success at each show they attend which speaks for our program.
Students wishing to compete must be regularly taking two lessons per week during show season so that they may be properly prepared.
We choose the shows we attend for their quality, location, cost effectiveness and competitive challenge. Look over our schedule and feel free to ask about attending other shows that may interest you.
